Tara Hall Named JCSD1 Teacher of the Year

A teacher at New West High School (NWHS) in Buffalo has been named Teacher of the Year by the Johnson County School District for 2026.

Dr. Michael Hanson, principal at NWHS, made the announcement at the school board meeting Monday night.

Tara Hall thanked the staff at NWHS.

Named as the Classified Employee of the Year was Brenda Holland-Nimick.
