Front of House Supervisor Calls Hub a “Third Place”
The Hub on Smith in Sheridan provides weekday meal services and community activities for residents across Sheridan County.
Hub on Smith Front of House Supervisor Ryan Legler said he has the honor of seeing many residents come into the Hub for meals, classes and medical presentations. He said age is just a number, adding the best part of the Hub is seeing the daily crowd come in for breakfast and lunch.
Legler said the Hub is a “third place” for many people in the community.

Legler made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse alongside the Hub’s Director of Development Ryan Koltiska, inviting everyone to become part of the Hub community by stopping by for breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast is made to order and served from 7 to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. Lunch is also offered at multiple satellite locations such as the Tongue River Valley Community Center, Heritage Towers, the Story Women’s Club and the Bighorn Women’s Club.
Koltiska said anyone can attend, though seniors are encouraged to register and may contribute a suggested donation.
The kitchen staff at the Hub arrive early and prepare hot entrees, soup and salad options and grab-and-go boxes, with home delivery available, which made and delivered 71,000 meals last year thanks to an all volunteer delivery effort by more than 221 selfless individuals.
The dining room experience also features social activities such as Bingo, trivia and themed events for special days such as Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day and more.
