Sheridan Commission OKs Application for Funds for Fire Fighting Truck

Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered approving an application for Federal Funds to acquire a new Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) truck, ARFF tools, and radio equipment.

Airport Manager Robert Gill brought the request before the commission at their last meeting.

Gill explained that the federal funds would cover about 95% of the cost, or $1.3 million for the new truck, with the remaining 5% being split between the Sheridan County Airport Capital Improvement budget and the Wyoming Department of Transportation Aeronautics program at $34,211 each.

The commission voted to approve the funding application.
