Wyoming Unmet Housing Needs Grant

The Sheridan County Housing Land Trust is requesting that the City of Sheridan support an application for a $1.6 million Wyoming Unmet Housing Needs Grant. Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Christine Dietrich presented the request before the City Council at their study session Monday night.

Dietrich said the property they are eying for purchase is near Emerson Park.

The Housing Land Trust’s request for the City’s support in applying for the grant is expected to be considered by the City Council at their business meeting, Monday, January 19.

    Yet another example of trying to get gov’t to do things it’s not designed to do. And waste taxpayer dollars on projects that belong only in the private sector.
    If it’s viable, then the free market will work it out.
    Lower taxes are better.
