JCSD1 Board Hires Special Ed. Director/Administrator

Johnson County School District One’s Board of Trustees called a special meeting for Wednesday evening to discuss the hiring of a new employee for the district.

Valerie Hurm currently works for the Campbell County School District but had applied for the Special Education Director position with JCSD1.

She spoke to the board about her experience in education.

The board approved hiring Hurm as the new Special Education Director, replacing Luke Danforth, and she will also serve as Administrator of the New West Alternative High School.
