The Johnson County Prevention Council will have its next meeting June 23rd and will spend the majority of the meeting discussing the work plan for the next Fiscal Year.

The council will review and give feedback on the FY21-22 Prevention Work Plan for alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and suicide prevention.

This will be the primary discussion item for our meeting.

According to Bill Hawley, ICPS, Community Prevention Specialist, and Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist with the Johnson County Prevention Council and

Johnson County Public Health, the work plan is a working, flexible plan that may change as emerging issues present themselves in the community.

The meeting will be Tuesday, June 23rd at the Bomber Mountain Civic Center’s old band room from noon to 1pm.

The area is large enough to accommodate attendees to follow social distancing guidelines, but Hawley said this makes it critical that those attending RSVP to him if attending in person.

We have provided his contact information below.

The meeting will also be carried by conference call for those that prefer to join by phone.

The call information is also listed below.

Contact Hawley at bhawley@johnsoncowy.us or by phone at 307-425-6552.
