Participation Up for Annual Free Cleanup Days
During their recent regular meeting the Buffalo City Council got a report on the recent annual Free Cleanup Days.
The cleanup went well for both city and county residents, according to City Building Inspector Toby Rhoades.
When asked how this year’s participation numbers compared to recent years, Rhoades said the city’s numbers were up and there was a better turnout for this year’s cleanup days.
The city and Johnson County offer the Free Cleanup Days each year and pick up the cost of the fees at the county landfill.
Rhoades said the $6,310 the city paid for the landfill fees was about $1,000 over what the city normally has paid in typical years.
