Paintball CUP Approved by Sheridan Co. Commission

A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to operate an outdoor commercial recreational paintball facility and first-responder training platform was considered by the Sheridan County Commission.

According to information from the County Public Works Department, the proposed property to be used is located at 805 State Highway 338 (Decker Road), and the business would occupy roughly the eastern 1/3 of the 85+ acre property.

After discussion and comments from the public. The commission approved the CUP with four conditions as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Those conditions include the requirement for fully-shielded cut-off lighting fixtures for exterior lighting; that waste materials be fully enclosed or removed from the site; that any WYDOT specified improvements for highway access or signage be performed; and that any future structure modifications or additions will require county building permits, and/or a possible new CUP.
