Johnson County’s Commissioners have approved signing a contract for architectural design plans for the Kaycee Library Renovation Project.

Plan One Architects submitted a proposal that would be a maximum amount for the design work for the project at $187,000.

Commission Chairman Bill Novotny made his recommendation to the rest of the commission at their meeting this week.

The commission voted to approve the contract to be signed by the Chair of the Johnson County Library Board once it has been reviewed and approved by Deputy County Attorney Barry Crago.

The project, according to discussion at earlier meetings, will make the library (Americans with Disabilities Act) ADA-compliant, make renovations to the entrance and build a small addition.

The Johnson County Library was awarded just over $2.6 million in grant funding from the Wyoming State Library for the improvements.
