Conservation District Hosting Annual Watershed Meetings

The Sheridan County Conservation District will be hosting their annual watershed meetings over the next several weeks. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
As part of local watershed improvement efforts, the Sheridan County Conservation District will be holding their annual meetings for the Tongue River, Prairie Dog Creek and Goose Creek watersheds. Program Specialist with the Sheridan County Conservation District Jackie Turner explains why they have the annual watershed meetings.
Turner says that water quality monitoring occurs on a three-year rotation within the three watersheds and supports other watershed activities.
The Tongue River watershed meeting will be Thursday, March 20 at 6 pm at the Ranchester Town Hall. The Prairie Dog Creek watershed meeting will be Thursday, March 27 at 6 pm at the Prairie Dog Community Center and the Goose Creek watershed meeting will be Thursday, April 3 at 6 pm at the Cottonwood Building, 2nd floor conference room.
