Sheridan Commission Accepts Wildfire Defense Grant

The Sheridan County Commission considered a Cooperative Agreement for Sub-Award of the 2024 Community Wildfire Defense Grant between the county and the State of Wyoming, Office of State Lands and Investments, Forestry Division.

County Fire Warden Chris Thomas spoke to the commission during their last meeting to explain how the grant funding will be used.

County Administrative Director Cameron Duff gave more details.

After discussion, the commission voted to accept the grant funding for the project in the amount of $132,000.
