Ron RichterThe Food Group announced that Executive Director Keri McMeans is stepping down from the position to assume the role of Executive Director at the Hub on Smith. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
A Food Group media release states that the announcement marks the conclusion of six wonderful years that McMeans was executive director of the organization and that The Food Group staff and Board of Directors are thrilled for McMeans and are fully prepared to support the transition. McMeans said the decision comes with deep gratitude for all that they have built together at The Food Group and excitement for the opportunity ahead, adding that she wholeheartedly believes in both organizations’ missions and knows that The Food Group is well-positioned for continued success with the incredible team and strong community support.
McMeans will work closely with The Hub on Smith’s current Executive Director Carmen Rideout through the transition process. McMeans will assume the new position at The Hub on April 1, 2025. Rideout announced her retirement in December after 25 years as the executive director of The Hub on Smith.
