On February 11, 2025, at approximately 2:16 PM, Sheridan County Sheriff’s Deputies and Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Agents attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the area of Decker Road and North Main Street on a known male suspect involved in an investigation.

The suspect failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.

The pursuit continued on State Highways 338 and 339 where the vehicle entered onto Interstate 90 traveling eastbound.

Spike strips were successfully deployed by a Sheridan Police Officer at Exit 20.

The vehicle continued east on Interstate 90 until Exit 23 where the vehicle became immobilized on East 5th Street.

The suspect, who was alone in the vehicle, refused to exit the vehicle.

Law enforcement officers on scene observed the suspect ingest an unknown amount, of what appeared to be, controlled substances.

The male became unresponsive and law enforcement officers were able to remove the suspect from the vehicle.

The suspect was transported to Sheridan Memorial Hospital by EMS for further medical care.

As this case is still under investigation, the name of the suspect will not be released at this time.

The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office would like to acknowledge the great working relationship with all of the agencies who assisted in this incident.

Those agencies include Wyoming DCI, Sheridan Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Bighorn National Forest Service Law Enforcement, and Wyoming Regional EMS.
