Jo Co Commission Consents to Irrigation Change on Sand Creek Ditch

A request from a downstream water user on Sand Creek Ditch to change the way they irrigate has been approved by the Johnson County Commission.

Chairman Bill Novotny gave more details at the commission’s last meeting.

County Planner Jim Waller explained that the petitioning landowners want to move their water rights, and need the county’s approval to move the process along with the state.

Waller recommended the commission sign the consent, which they voted in favor of.
