Things That Go Bump in the Night at the Brinton

Things That Go Bump in the Night is in its 10th year at the Brinton Museum Grounds. This year it was held on Saturday, Oct. 26. This is the most highly attended family-fun event of the year. Costumes ranged from dinosaurs to fairies to ‘Fall Guys’ and Ninja Turtles.

Will Lopez, Museum Educator, said that on average around 400 kids attend the event during the two-hour period,

He added more about what the Museum offers for youngsters throughout the summer.

There was a scavenger hunt around the area, and science kids had several booths setup in and around the greenhouse. There were small snakes, lizards and bugs for youngsters to see and touch.

Pax Betzler and his mother, Emily, were there with Pax’s ‘creepy crawly’, a bearded dragon, who was in a bat costume, wearing small black bat wings.

All participants went home with candy, coloring pages and crayons, and a deeper appreciation of some of the creepy-looking living beings that live with us in Wyoming.
