Jo Co Commission Amends 2024-25 Budget

Johnson County’s Commissioners, at their meeting Tuesday, voted to approve an amendment to the county’s 2024-25 budget.

County Clerk Jackie Camino brought Resolution No. 734 before the commission and gave more details on the request for the amendment.

Camino said the first change is for $3,465.50 from the State Auditor to assist with the election and election training; the second is for carryover money from the previous year’s budget at $12,102.42; the next is a carryover from the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division for $21,527.60; and $1,950,000 for the county to establish a fund for facilities restoration; the next is a new grant from the Wyoming Community Foundation, Hazel Patterson Grant, for $3,500; and one from the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division for an additional $50,000 for COVID outreach; for a total amendment amount of roughly $2.041 million.
