Sheridan Commission OKs Cost Share Agreement on Badger Fire

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have ratified a Decision Documentation and Cost Share Agreement between the county, the Clearmont Fire Protection District, and the Wyoming State Forestry Division concerning the Badger Fire.

According to the document, the Badger Wildfire was reported at roughly 2:30 the afternoon on July 24 approximately 26 miles northeast of Sheridan.

The document specifies that all costs associated with the suppression of the fire will be shared between the three agencies, except for the portion of the fire occurring in the State of Montana.

Those costs will be borne between the Bureau of Land Management-Miles City Field Office,and the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC).
