Jo Co Library to Host Book Release August 20

The Johnson County Library will host a book release party to celebrate the publishing of “Listen Closely As Johnson County Speaks,” Volumes I and II.

According to a release from Nancy Tabb, Local History Librarian at the
Johnson County Library, the two volume set combines excerpts from the library’s oral history collection, which has taken five years to pull together.

The excerpts have been compiled and edited by Tabb, Dolly Fraley, and Jonette Goraj.

They have already begun to compile Volume III.

The books are available to purchase for a $15 donation for each volume.

The release party is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20 beginning at 3 p.m. in the main library.
