SOS’s Office Speaks with County Officials to Stop Fraudulent Business Filings in Wyoming

The Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office recently spoke with county officials concerning the office’s efforts to take administrative action in instances of false or fraudulent documents filed with the state, as well as ways the Secretary of State’s Office and county governments can collaborate to combat business fraud in Wyoming. In May, Secretary of State Chuck Gray and Business Division Director Colin Crossman spoke at the Wyoming County Treasurers’ Association meeting in Saratoga concerning the Secretary of State’s collaborative efforts to combat business fraud in Wyoming.

Secretary Gray also recently sent a letter to Wyoming County Assessors detailing common instances of fraud and ways county officials can report fraud to the state.

    The old Mills Printing building across from the post office houses THOUSANDS of fraudulent businesses. Nearly everyday, the police blotter has a fraud report there.
