Aaron PalmerThe contract extension for Johnson County School Board Superintendent Charles Auzqui was approved by the school board after they discussed the issue in executive session.
During the meeting Monday night in Kaycee, the vote on the contract was put on hold and discussed in the executive session after their regular meeting.
According to Board Chairman Travis Pearson, the board addressed minor questions in the contract, then came out of the executive session and unanimously voted to approve Auzqui’s contract extension through the 2026-27 school year.
No specifics on the discussions in the executive session could be shared due to it concerning a personnel matter.
