Aaron PalmerAn event jointly put on by the KARZ Club of Sheridan and the Sheridan VA Health Care System will be happening in July, according to Cherish Thompson and Kristina Miller, public affairs specialists with the Sheridan VA, who were guests on our talk show Public Pulse this week.
The event, the KARZ Club Car Show and Veterans Resource Fair, is designed to not only present a car show for veterans and the public, but act as an event where veterans can learn about the resources available to them through the VA.
Thompson explained the reasoning behind having both events simultaneously.
Miller talked about her love of car shows, including the one coming next
month.
The event will be on July 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature, in addition to the car show and veterans resource fair, 10 food trucks, kids and family events, a veterans trade/craft business area, and information for veterans including the VA’s new Express Clinic.
Volunteers are also needed for the event.
For more information on the event, or how to volunteer to help, contact
Kristina Miller, Public Affairs & Congressional Liaison Officer at (307) 675-7028.
