UW reports that a Wyoming ranching couple’s $2.5 million gift to UW will empower the university’s Ranch Management and Agricultural Leadership Program, fueling impactful change and supporting future leaders in ranch management and agriculture statewide.

The generous gift has created the Wyoming Ranching Excellence Fund at the UW College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources and was doubled to $5 million by a state matching investment from the Wyoming Legislature.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, UW Director of Institutional Communications Chad Baldwin said the Wyoming Ranching Excellence Fund will be used to support and further the Ranch Management and Agricultural Leadership Program.

According to UW, the multidisciplinary Ranch Management and Agricultural Leadership Program, initially launched in 2021, provides future generations of ranchers and agricultural producers with in-depth, hands-on programs that honor the tried-and-true while developing the technologies of tomorrow — steeped in history yet leading the way to the future.
