High-Tech Business Park Phase Two

The Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority is looking to acquire funding for the High-Tech Business Park Phase Two in north Sheridan. SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs presented the details of the project at a Sheridan City Council study session Monday night. According to Briggs, SEEDA secured funding for a planning grant from the Wyoming Business Council for a feasibility assessment that evaluated several large parcels for their practicality in developing the tech park expansion. Briggs said the SEEDA Board selected a site on Yellowtail Drive north of the current High-Tech Business Park as the preferred location for the next phase of the business park based on a proposal from the current property owner.

SEEDA is requesting a resolution of support from the City regarding their grant application to the Wyoming Business Council for the project.

Briggs said if the resolutions of support are approved by all of the entities that make up SEEDA, they will submit the grant application to the Wyoming Business Council by June 1.

Briggs said the Wyoming Business Council would consider the grant application at their meeting in September and if approved, the grant application would then come before the SLIB Board at their meeting in October.
