According to Cannon–Wallace, there is no preparation required to audition. Students will be called up to the stage in groups and asked individually to introduce themselves and sing Row Row Row Your Boat acapella. Then, staff will teach each student a few bars of vocals from one of the show songs, and each student will sing the song section with the music track.
Casting will not be announced on the same weekend, as with last year. Instead, cast members will be notified by mid week, approximately May 1, timeframe.
The first rehearsal will take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2. Proceeding rehearsals will be held every weekday at 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
