A Look Back in Time: April 7, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on April 7, 1920.

With over 5,000 pupils enrolled, the largest enrollment in the state, Sheridan county will receive $45,000 from the state common school fund.

Rees Davis of Sheridan, one of the best known labor leaders in Wyoming, died at his home at 1192 Illinois street at 2:45 o’clock this morning, following a long period of ill health.

County commissioners at a meeting yesterday directed the county treasurer to appropriate among the county’s school districts a fund of about $16,000. The money is from fines collected in the county during several years.
