Ron RichterAn important piece of equipment at the Sheridan Wastewater Treatment Plant may soon be replaced. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
In May of 2023, a piece of screening equipment at the Wastewater Treatment Plant was damaged and is in need of replacement. City of Sheridan Utilities Director Dan Roberts explains what the Rotamat is and how it was damaged.
Roberts said that while the screening device was not damaged beyond repair, it’s been determined that the piece of equipment must be replaced.
Roberts said staff is requesting the City Council authorize a Sole Source, Sole Manufacturer Purchase, in the amount of $236,000, from Lakeside Equipment Corporation to replace the Rotamat at the treatment plant. The request is expected to be considered by the Council at an upcoming business meeting. Roberts said it will take about six to eight months before the screening device is delivered to the City.
