Game and Fish looking to fill positions

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is accepting applications for a number of positions. 

During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Game and Fish Public Information Specialist Christina Schmidt spoke on the open positions in the department.

Aquatic invasive species inspector positions last four to six months and are offered statewide. Sites include Sheridan, Keyhole, Beulah and Newcastle. Starting dates for the positions are April 1 or May 16 depending on the position. These positions pay $18.71 per hour. No previous experience is required and training will be provided. 

The Game and Fish is also searching for fish hatchery technicians in multiple locations including Story.  These positions start at $18.71 per hour. Position runs mid-May through mid-August.

C. Schmidt 

Fisheries technicians are positions being offered with a preference toward individuals working to earn a degree in wildlife field. These positions pay $19.40 per hour and are four to six month positions that run spring through fall.
