Bighorn National Forest Christmas Tree Permits Available Online

Bighorn National Forest Christmas tree permits are available to purchase online. To purchase a Christmas tree permit, click here. It is important to carefully read the overview and need-to-know information prior to purchasing the permit. Visitors will also need to set up or log in to an account to complete the transaction.

Fourth graders with an Every Kid Outdoors pass are eligible for a free Christmas tree permit and can apply by entering the pass or voucher number when purchasing a permit. Kids can enter the second annual Holiday Coloring Contest.  Prizes will be awarded for the top entries in the following age groups: under 5, 5 to 7, 8 to 10.  Those that enter need to include their first name, age, and a way the Forest Service can contact a parent or guardian if the child is a winner. Entries are due by December 20, 2023 to the Bighorn National Forest Supervisor’s Office and Tongue Ranger District Office at 2013 Eastside 2nd Street, Sheridan, Wyoming.
