Ron RichterA request to rezone two addresses on Dry Ranch Road is an item that will be considered by the Sheridan City Council at their upcoming business meeting Monday night. City of Sheridan Public Works Director Hanns Mercer provides the details of what the applicant, Butler Properties, LLC, is requesting.
Mercer said the properties to the north, south and west are commercial properties zoned B-2 and to the east is a 40-foot wide tract adjacent to the commercial property zoned B-1 that is owned by the City of Sheridan and is intended to be future ROW for Dry Ranch Road. Since Dry Ranch Road to the east is currently a Sheridan County owned and maintained road, the applicant is proposing to rezone tracts one and two of unplatted land from B-1 to B-2 in order to create a continuous B-2 zoned corridor between Heartland Drive and Dry Ranch Road. There will be a public hearing at Monday night’s City Council meeting prior to the Council considering the ordinance on first reading to rezone the properties.
