JCHC Chief of Staff Discusses New Provider

Johnson County Healthcare Center Chief of Staff Dr. Jennifer Rice, in her recent report to the Hospital Board of Trustees, discussed a new healthcare provider that will be starting soon at the facility.

Dr. Rice said the newest addition to the staff, Dr. Zach Carlson, will start in October, taking the place of the retiring Dr. Gonzales.

In addition to Dr. Carlson, she said they had a few medical students working at the JCHC thi summer.

Dr. Rice said, “ t would be an amazing catch if we could get him to be interested in staying here.”

The medical staff has met and shared feedback on how hospital scheduling is going, which she said has been viewed positively by providers.

She said the summer has been busy but staff has still been able to take time off, which is good.
