Sheridan Memorial Hospital Prioritizing Patient Experience

Although Sheridan Memorial Hospital has always tried to give their patients a positive experience, they have recently chosen to give patient experience a higher priority.

While a guest on our talk show Public Pulse Tuesday, Kelly Lieb, Director of Patient Experience at SMH, defined patient experience.

Lieb spoke about why thefacility feels patient experience is so important.

Sheridan Memorial Hospital currently has a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and a 4-star rating from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems.

The idea is to increase positive patient experience to try to get a 5-star rating to bring the facility to a double 5-star facility, which would, according to Lieb, make the facility roughly part of the top five percent of hospitals in the country.
