Bighorn National Forest Steering Committee Meeting

Medicine Wheel District Ranger with the Bighorn National Forest Mark Foster will be hosting a public Steering Committee meeting Thursday, June 15 in Greybull. The meeting will take place from 10 am to 2:30 pm at the Big Horn County Weed and Pest Building. Remote access to the meeting is also available for those interested in attending the meeting virtually and can be found on the Bighorn National Forest website.

Agenda topics include updates from the Steering Committee and Bighorn National Forest District Rangers, current projects, and more. The Forest Plan Steering Committee consists of Forest Service employees and local government representatives including county commissions, conservation districts, and State of Wyoming agency representatives. The Committee was formed during the revision of the 2005 Bighorn National Forest Land and Resource Management Plan. The Committee meets twice a year and continues to play a critical role in helping the Forest Service monitor the forest plan and project implementation.
