The Dead Swede is a gravel road bike race that challenges even the most experienced bike-racing athletes.
Developed by founders Jordan LeDuc, owner of the Sheridan Bicycle Company and John Kirlin, this race offers 100, 60, 40 and 20 mile courses for those strong and daring enough to challenge themselves on the hills of the Sheridan area.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Sheridan County Undersheriff Devereaux Johnson announced the event and revealed the shocking amount of riders that will be taking part in the gravel race this year.
Johnson recommended local Sheridan County residents know the routes this challenging event will take and to be mindful of the race participants that will flood those routes on race day.
The reason for the route change this year is simple according to the Undersheriff, with such a long winter the snow pack became a concern on Red Grade Road.
