Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns is gearing up to host the 2023 Women’s Build.

Habitat for Humanity offers this build every year as an opportunity to learn new skills, or brush up on old ones, in a safe environment while making a contribution to the community.

No experience in the construction field is necessary, and participants will complete a task they are comfortable with performing while helping to construct a home for a Sheridan family.

The Women Build will take place June 20 – 24, and does not exclude men, but is about encouraging women to become empowered to participate and show what they can accomplish when working construction as a team.

HHEB Resource and Development Manager Dan Alsup gave details during an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program.

Sponsor’s are currently being sought after to form teams. If you would like to sponsor a team for the 2023 HHEB Women Build call the organization at 307-673-1847.

According to Alsup, the event often brings many participants who gain new confidence and form or reinforce strong friendships while having fun and building a new home for a Sheridan family.
