Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on March 2, 1920.

The Sheridan-Wyoming Coal Company filed a trust deed in the office of the county clerk yesterday to secure $3.5 million in mortgage bonds, together with 11 other instruments relating to the merger and sale of the mines in the Sheridan field on Dec. 31, 1919.

C. L. Allen will sell four fresh milk cows and four heavy springers at the Jacobs’ Sale on Thursday. These are exceptionally good cows.

The Sheridan Commercial Company is offering an unusually high quality of native-grown alfalfa seed for 45 cents a pound.
