A Look Back in Time: Feb. 29, 1920

Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Feb. 29, 1920.

The location of the state highway between Recluse and Arvada will be made soon, according to a letter that’s been received by W. H. Wallace, vice president of the Custer Battlefield Hiway association and chairman of the good roads committee of the Sheridan Commercial club.

Sheridan High school defeated the basketball team from Miles City by a score of 28-19 in a game played last night in the Linden gymnasium.

Beet growers on the south side of Tongue river are organizing a new stock company to reconstruct ditches that will greatly increase the irrigable land in that territory.
