Metz & Sackett filed eight lawsuits in district court in Sheridan county today, seeking more than $15,000 from the railroad for damages the plaintiffs allege they suffered in connection with shipping livestock to the market and winter feeding ground.
All local industry that’s dependent upon electric power was at a standstill from 8 o’clock this morning until a few minutes before noon owing to the necessity of shutting down the power plant to complete installation of some new equipment.
Miss Ruth Stevens of Sheridan and Mr. A. A. Gregg of Crawford, Neb., were married in a quiet ceremony at 6 o’clock last night at the Methodist parsonage.
