A change of plea hearing was held Wednesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for a woman charged with multiple felonies. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Change of Plea

On September 29, 2022, 40-year-old Nicole Goodman of Fresno, California and Mark Anthony of Gillette were arrested by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office for breaking into a construction trailer in Sheridan County. Goodman, at a hearing in District Court Wednesday, pleaded guilty to the charge of felony burglary. The plea agreement reached with the State recommends a sentence of 3 to 5 years in prison and that a secondary charge of conspiracy to commit burglary be dismissed as part of the agreement. The plea agreement is non binding, meaning the Court can reject the plea deal altogether at sentencing.

District Court Judge Ben Kirven ordered that a presentence investigation be completed by Probation and Parole and said a sentencing hearing will be set at a later date. Goodman’s bond was revoked and she was remanded to the custody of the Sheridan County Detention Center pending sentencing.
