Ron RichterThe Wyoming Business Council recently completed their Sheridan Community Review, entitled “Sheridan Thrive 2035”. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The Sheridan review included a short written survey and several community feedback listening sessions. The Sheridan Economic Development Task Force, made up of representatives from several different civic and economic development groups, engaged with the WBC for the community review that included almost 1,000 survey responses collected between July and November of last year during ten different listening sessions throughout Sheridan County. Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce CEO, and task force member Dixie Johnson says one of the six major themes that emerged from the focus group and survey responses was intentional, planned growth.
Economic development was another of the major themes.
The other four major themes were education, health, amenities and housing. Johnson talked about the next steps for the task force now that the report has been released by the WBC.
