Aaron PalmerSheridan County’s Commissioners have given a Notice of Intent (NOI) to amend the building codes for Sheridan County.
According to a release from the county commission, the purpose for the amendments is to adopt the 2021 editions of the following International Code Council codes, as amended: the International Building Code; International Residential Code; International Mechanical Code; International Fuel Gas Code; International Plumbing Code; and the International Fire Code.
The amendments will also retain the 1997 edition of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, delete the 2015 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code, and adopt the most current publication of the International Code Council Building Valuation Data, and adopt the National Fire Protection Association’s 2022 edition of the National Electric Code, all as amended.
Copies of the proposed amendments are available from the Sheridan County Commissioners’ Office or County Public Works Department, or they may also be viewed on the county web site.
The county commissioners will hold a public hearing to receive oral comments on the proposed amendments on May 16 at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Board Room.
All interested persons may submit written comments to the Public Works Department no later than May 8, 2023.
