Sheridan County’s Commissioners have ratified a Letter of Support for the Sheridan Community Land Trust’s (SCLT) application for funding for the Red Grade Trails System.

The SCLT is applying to the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation (WOR) asking for $749,000 which will be combined with a local match of $100,000 to complete the multi-year project, according to the letter from the county.

Also in the letter, the county reminded the WOR that the Red Grade Trail System, once completed, will include six parking lots/trailheads; and 28 miles of hiking, biking, and equestrian trails.

The commissioners said the SCLT is an important long-term partner in developing community trails and they are in full support of their application for the continued development of the Red Grade Trail System.
