The Lott House, a history of the Mansion House Inn will be presented by the Johnson County Historical Society (JCHS) next week.

According to a release from the JCHS, the Mansion House Inn was built in 1903 as the home of Dr. John Lott and his family.

In the 119 years since being built, it has been a boarding house, a Best Western hotel, and a bed and breakfast.

The program, featuring current owner Lara Schuman as presenter, will cover its history and share stories from some of its occupants over the years.

The program will be on Tuesday, October 4 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Johnson County Library’s Twing Room.

The public is welcome to attend the free event.
