The US Forest Service has allotted additional funding for the Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum for services the museum has performed under an existing agreement.

County Commissioner Bill Novotny, at this week’s regular meeting, explained the agreement and what the additional funding was for.

Novotny said the amendment to the original agreement is to show the increase of $10,000 for the museum to work to protect the materials from the Bighorn National Forest.

The county attorney’s office reviewed and approved accepting the amendment.
