Ron RichterThe Wyoming State Board of Education will consider action on annual accreditation recommendations for school districts, as well as approval of alternative schedule applicants at their next regularly scheduled meeting Thursday, June 16. The State Board will meet virtually on the Zoom platform and it will also discuss the approval of the WY-ALT assessment blueprint for mathematics.
Recommendations for accreditation or accreditation with support have been received for all 48 Wyoming school districts and two state-funded institutions. The board has also received applications for alternative schedules from Albany County School District #1’s Whiting High School and Crook County School District #1 for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 school years. The board will continue its support of Career Technical Education programs with presentations from business and industry representatives who are currently partnering with schools to offer internship experiences to high school students in their communities.
