Republican Credentials Committee votes to not seat Laramie County delegates
The Wyoming Republican Party is holding its convention this weekend in Sheridan.
On Thursday morning, the event’s Credentials Committee voted 15-8 to recommend not to seat delegates from Laramie County, the state’s largest and home to about 30% of the state’s Republicans.
Sheridan County republican Gail Symons outlined the process.
In an email to Wyoming Republicans from W. Frank Eathorne, Chairman of the Wyoming Republican Party on May 5, he said, “As many of you have probably heard, there is controversy being played out in the liberal media about seating delegates from Laramie County. Rest assured, there are procedures in place to handle such matters.”
Eathorne added “We, as the Wyoming Republican Party, will apply and follow the rules accordingly and without favoring or opposing any individual county.”
He said that they are working on some new things at the Wyoming Republican Party on what will happen this weekend with regard to seating delegates at our State Convention.
