Johnson County Results
The ballot proposition to create a Senior Citizen Service District that would benefit the Buffalo Senior Center has been approved by county voters.
There were 2,018 yes votes, or nearly 68% of votes cast compared to 960 no votes, or 32% of the votes cast.
In the race for the lone seat open on the Johnson County Commission, Bob Perry defeated Miles “Louie” Sickler.
For the Buffalo City Council, there are two seats open with three candidates vying, but Zach Sexton removed himself from the race before Tuesday’s election.
Scott Madsen and David Iverson will move on to the November election.
In the race for United States Senator, Republican Cynthia Lummis won Johnson County as did Democratic candidate Merav Ben David.
United States Representative Liz Cheney, a Republican, took Johnson County as did Democratic candidate Lynette Grey Bull.
The race for State Representative for House District 40, challenger Barry Crago defeated incumbent Richard Tass.
State Senator for District 22, Dave Kinskey, ran unopposed on the Republican ticket, and will move on to the General Election in November.
None of the results will be official until the election is canvassed later this week.
