Enrollment at Sheridan College in Johnson County (SCJC) has more than doubled for the spring 2022 semester over last year’s numbers, according to information from Sheridan College.

Enrollment this year, one week prior to the start of the spring term, was sitting at 65 students, up from 32 in 2021.

Dr. Walt Tribley, President of the Northern Wyoming Community College District, said in a recent interview that enrollment is ongoing, but the total number of participants at SCJC has already doubled, and that also translates to more than doubling in the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) students they are serving in Johnson County.

He explains why he believes there has been such an increase in the number of students in the Johnson County campus.

Tribley said there has been steady growth in SCJC, through a major commitment from Sheridan College.

Partnerships with the local schools, with concurrent enrollment, is making a significant contribution to the increased numbers of students.

Tribley also talked about what the increased numbers in Johnson County mean to Sheridan College, and said there is still time to register for the spring semester.

We will have that in an upcoming story.
