An Arraignment hearing was held Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court for 36-year-old Tonya Standingrock of Billings, Montana. Standingrock pleaded “not guilty” to the charges of Burglary and Attempted Theft, both of which are felonies. According to the affidavit of probable cause, Standingrock was arrested on December 11 of last year for allegedly breaking into a home in Sheridan County and taking a phone, a wallet, cash, and keys to a vehicle, which she attempted to steal. Standingrock was arrested near the home shortly after deputies with the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a burglary at a residence in Sheridan County.

District Court Judge John Fenn set the pretrial conference for April 2 at 9 am and scheduled the two-day trial to begin on Monday, May 4. If convicted on both counts, Standingrock faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $20,000.
