The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will be arriving in Sheridan for the CVMA Nationals as soon as the end of next week.
The CVMA Nationals will begin June 21 and conclude on June 27. The Wyoming Highway Patrol estimates approximately 3,000 members of the CVMA will be arriving in Sheridan and the surrounding region.
The CVMA is an association of combat veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. The association is registered as a 501(c)(19) veterans’ charity, whose mission is to support and protect those who have defended the country and the freedoms of US citizens. According to their website, they’re primary focus is to provide assistance and help to individual veterans, veteran care facilities, other veteran organizations and registered charities; veterans helping veterans.
Wyoming Highway Patrol Lieutenant Erik Jorgensen told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, that the association has a full agenda of activities planned and are inviting the Sheridan region public to join in the events. Jorgensen also asked the public to be aware of the increased motorcycle traffic while the gathering takes place.
