JCSD1 Calls Special Meeting for April 1st

The Johnson County School District Board of Trustees has called a special meeting for this Thursday, April 1st.
According to information released by the school district, the meeting is scheduled to discuss the Smart Start Adjustment concerning the exception to the mask mandate signed last week by State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist, but the district asked the school administrators for recommendations for adjusting the Smart Start Program to fit the exception.
Also on the meeting schedule is an executive session concerning personnel under Wyoming Statute W.S.16-4-405 (a)(ii).
As explained by wtoleg.com, the statute specifies the consideraion to consider the appointment, employment, right to practice or dismissal of a public officer, professional person or employee, or to hear complaints or charges brought against an employee, professional person or officer, unless the employee, professional person or officer requests a public hearing.
The governing body may exclude from any public or private hearing during the examination of a witness, any or all other witnesses in the matter being investigated. Following the hearing or executive session, the governing body may deliberate on its decision in executive sessions.
